Our mission is to empower students to achieve their academic and personal goals through highly personalized tutoring services that address their individual learning needs. This bespoke tutoring program is designed to foster a positive and supportive learning environment that gives students confidence to engage in productive struggles and reach their full potential.

Our role as educators is to create a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive space that makes students feel valued and gives them confidence to grow.
The process starts by (1) analyzing each student's unique learning profile (2) creating a customized tutoring plan that aligns and focuses on thoughtfully-defined academic goals (3) tracking and measuring each student’s progress over time and (4) providing feedback for growth as well as actionable guidance for parents.
VICTORIA GUAN
With over a decade of experience as a public-school teacher in the diverse and vibrant environment of New York City, Victoria is deeply committed to fostering a learning environment that empowers students, celebrates diversity and equips early knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world. Her educational career encompasses 9 years working as a NYC Classroom K-5th grade Special Education teacher, 2 years an instructional literacy coach in Teacher’s College University Assist Community School in Harlem and 5 years tutoring. Through her 12+ years in education, she has come to believe and appreciate that learning never ends - we are all meant to continue a beautiful cycle of both teaching others and learning new perspectives in the process.

Students range from as early as Kindergarten through 8th grade! Our main focus is K-6!

Days and times are decided with the parent and Monday - Sunday are available.

Our social mission for this tutoring program includes a sliding door scale that is designed to be flexible and affordable for families with varying financial resources. "Sliding scale" means the cost of tutoring services is adjusted based on each client/family’s disposable income - the goal is to have families with an abundance of financial resources pay a slightly-higher rate, which enables us to make this high-quality tutoring program accessible to students and families that would otherwise struggle to afford full-cost. This allows us to support an education system that provides back to its community, and help foster equitable access to rich/high quality education.

For K-2nd Grade: Sessions are typically 45 minutes. However, this can change after working with a child.
For 3rd Grade +: Sessions are typically 1 hour.
Double sessions are possible at a parents’ request based on a knowledge of a student’s needs.
